Could you survive a month in poverty?
It is difficult for those of us who have enough to truly understand the situations that families living in poverty experience every day - the decisions they have to make, and the fears and frustrations they feel. That is why we are inviting you to walk a mile in the shoes of those facing poverty by participating in the Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS).

PATH is committed to helping those who live in poverty. In 2011, PATH served more than 20,000 people - 1 in 10 Smith County residents came through our doors in need of PATH's help.
This simulation was designed to sensitize those who frequently deal with low-income families, as well as to create a broader awareness of the realities of poverty among policymakers, community leaders and others.
If you have any questions, please contact Magen Anderson, PATH Volunteer Coordinator at 903-617-2817 or by email at magen_anderson@pathhelps.org.
Thank you for your attention and response. I look forward to seeing you on the 24th.
Sincerely,
